Description
Our QuickGene-610L instrument provides rapid isolation of genomic DNA from up to 2ml of samples including whole blood, bone marrow, saliva, and more. Benefits include:
- Unattended operation, saving you labor and time
- 6 samples in 12 minutes, providing quick results
Our QuickGene-610L genomic DNA extraction solution can perform DNA isolation from 6 whole blood samples simultaneously (2ml each), in 12 minutes*, and utilizes an ultra-thin, polymer membrane for efficient capture of nucleic acids. This extraction technology process allows for isolation of genomic DNA with high yields, suitable for a wide range of applications.
*Over 2ml of a whole blood sample is adapted to pellet cells (buffy coat sample).
Instrument Features
The quality of the purified DNA samples is critical to successful genotyping studies – DNA samples of high quality and low cleavage rates are particularly essential in studies involving many genetic markers. Our QuickGene-610L isolates DNA samples under gentle extraction conditions, without using conventional centrifugal processes. This extraction process results in higher yields of DNA with higher molecular weight, fewer cleavages, and high purity.
Three-Step Operation Process & Maintenance
Three steps are required after preparing lysate samples:
- Apply the sample to the cartridge
- Place the cartridge holder on the instrument and press “start”
- The QuickGene-610L’s pre-programmed protocol automates the rest of the process
The flat-paneled design and detachable stands allow easier maintenance and cleaning, see image below.
Also, while running the QuickGene-610L, 6 additional samples can be applied to another carriage holder – the system processes continuously by switching the cartridge holder. This high throughput machine can perform 60 sample extractions per hour.
The QuickGene-610L can extract 6 samples of gDNA, and complete the entire process in approximately 12 minutes. The QuickGene technology’s thin membrane effectively absorbs nucleic acids in hydrophobic solvents, separating proteins and lipids. This method results in high purity and reduced processing time when compared to manual methods.
