Description
FastDryers are a simple and convenient way to dry biosamples following application to GenTegra-DNA (96- well microplates, racks of 0.3 ml cluster tubes, and 0.5 ml screw-cap tubes), GenTegra-RNA (0.5 ml screw-cap tubes and 0.3 ml cluster tubes), or GenPlates.
FastDryer Model GVGT2001
Compatible with:
- GenTegra DNA or RNA 0.5 ml screw-cap tubes (≤50 µl)
- 96-well microplates (≤250 µl)
- 0.3 ml cluster tubes, rack of 96 (≤250 µl)
- GenPlates (10 µl)
Specifications:
- Dries 48 screw-cap tubes (0.5ml), one plate, or one rack at a time
- Not for use with GenTegra-DNA 1.7 ml tubes
Drying Time:
- 16 hours
Cleaning:
The FastDryer may be cleaned with mild soap and water and a microfiber cloth. RNaseZap or similar products may be used on the FastDryer. The use of bleach or ethanol is not recommended. The tube rack in the GVGT2001 is removable for cleaning.
Instructions:
1.Before you begin: If you are using GenTegra DNA 0.5 ml screw cap tubes, refer to volume requirements above. Do not attempt to dry GenTegra DNA 1.7 ml tubes in the FastDryer.
2. Insert tube holder in FastDryer. Place rack of uncapped tubes, unsealed microplate or unsealed GenPlate on rack holder (A), or place up to 48 uncapped 0.5 ml screw-cap tubes in the tube holder (B).
3. Ensure that the power cord is plugged in and close the fan lid. Press the red ON/OFF switch to turn on the FastDryer.
